Ever wonder what goes on during an Urbanbella Product Consultation? Well now we’re giving you a sneak peek into what goes on during our consultations!

During a Product Consultation, we have our clients come in with their hair free of any styling aid. We normally try 3-5 styling aids and 3-5 styling options so that clients can get a feel of what products and styling options work with their hair, lifestyle, and personal tastes.

Next, the consultant is two-strand twisting the client’s hair for additional styling options and product testing ~

Raven Symone has recently been flaunting a cute summer ‘fro all around Hollyweird.  Here she is pretty in pink at an event in Las Vegas.

This is sharp departure from her Good Hair movie cameo in which she proclaimed herself a weave addict. Raven has had every length, color, and texture of extensions that we can think of, so this is a shock to our natural haired system.

the head before doing your flexi-rod set for this upswept, sassy style!

As naturals, many of us have had to worry about how transitioning to natural hair or wearing our hair in its natural state, free of chemicals and un-straightened, will be perceived in the workplace. Working in a corporate environment may have many of us experiencing anxiety on how our natural hair will be received. Others of us want to feel that we are being perceived by others as professional, well-groomed, and polished regardless of our occupation.

Newscasters have long been know for holding a look of polished conservativism that seemed to help emphasize their credibility and professionalism in giving us the news in our cities and around the world. Florida News Anchor, Rochelle Ritchie, caused a stir when she decided to do a big chop as part of a segment during a newscast. Atlanta’s own Monica Pearson of WSB Channel 2 has had a myriad of styles, and is currently sporting a short natural style. My Fox Atlanta reporter, Portia Bruner also sports natural hairstyles including cornrows which are showcased on her station biography on myfoxatlanta.com. Jaquitta Williams of CBS Atlanta maintains her natural hair with beautifully done up-do styles.
